Tara was born and raised in Lake Stevens, Washington. She now resides in Snohomish. Tara has been in the field of veterinary medicine for 10 years and has been with Northwest Animal Eye Specialists for over 2 years. Tara's favorite part of veterinary medicine and ophthalmology are anesthesia and surgery.
Like most of our staff members, Tara has her own pets. Chuck is her cat. Chuck had one eye removed in 2006 because of an iris tumor, feline diffuse iris melanoma. This tumor shows up as a progressive darkening of the iris color. It can start with just a spot or spots on the iris that seem to spread over time. Fortunately, in Chuck's case surgery was done early enough so that surgery shoule be curative. Roxanna is Tara's Welsh Mountain Pony. Austin, the handsome chocolate Labrador Retriever shown on the right, was her special boy who sadly passed away unexpectedly.
Tara has one sister, one nephew, a new niece, and parents that are still married. Her hobbies include riding horses and camping. Her favorite color is purple and her favorite food is fried chicken.
